Book Series Redesign

I chose to redesign 3 of Shari Lapena's Books: The Couple Next Door, Someone We Know, and A Stranger In The House. At the bottom you can see the current covers that are on the shelves. I decided to make them more illustrative, consistent, and modern. I wanted to take a step away from that classic thriller, book cover look. I played with different font types and alignment. I did the illustrations on Adobe Illustrator and wanted their to be small details that you don't see at first. Every front cover is light and hinting towards a mystery. On the back covers, you see that everything goes dark, and more clues are given. I wanted this to resemble how it feels reading the novels. The closer you look, the harder it gets to know what's going on.
